About this event
Thursdays–Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:30pm, November 5–22. The title is a joke. It’s also completely true. Jarrott Productions kicks off its 12th season with the Southwest regional premiere, and only the second production anywhere, of this comedy from L.A. playwright India Kotis. Faye is about to marry the man she loves. The catch? Part of her wishes he were a woman, because marrying him means fighting to keep her place in the queer community she calls home. BISEXUAL SADNESS is a warm, messy, genuinely funny interrogation of identity, belonging, and love. What happens to who you are when who you love changes how people see you? Directed by Will Gibson Douglas. Featuring Kelsey Mazak, CB Feller, Christopher Gonzalez, Catherine Woodiwiss, Jacqui Calloway, and Violet Bolton. Runs approximately 70 minutes with no intermission and no late seating. Contains strong language and frank sexual conversation. For groups of 10+ or accessibility requests, email jarrottproductions@gmail.com. Supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music, & Entertainment.
