Bronze Care Workshop

Join us at the UMLAUF for our Bronze Care Workshop led by curator and executive director Dr. Katie Robinson Edwards and conservators from OnAim Conservation in Houston! This workshop provides art enthusiasts with information about Charles Umlauf's process and the practical skills and knowledge to better understand bronze sculptures. Conservators will discuss the history of bronze, provide a hands-on demonstration of washing and waxing, and share their own experiences working with bronze sculptures. The demonstration will be followed by an hour learning to wash and wax Umlauf bronzes throughout the Garden. Lunch will be provided - if you have any dietary restrictions, please contact trinity.knabe@umlaufsculpture.org so that accomodations can be made.
