Día de Muertos en Austin

Celebrating Día de Muertos with a colorful spirit of love, Ballet Folklórico de Austin pays tribute to our ancestors. The performance will showcase dances from all eight regions of the state of Oaxaca, the cultural heart of Mexico. This showcase will be a vibrant reminder that, in Mexico, the dead are always celebrated and remembered. To be part of this joyful fiesta, we invite attendees to bring a photo of their loved ones who have passed, or their favorite object, to add to our onstage ofrenda before the show begins. We will dance to celebrate life and honor those relatives no longer with us.
