Encountering Place: Composing Site-Specific Poetry - A Poetry Workshop

Explore the connection between poetry and place in this hands-on writing workshop on Saturday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. Through local history, environmental awareness, and everyday experiences, participants will consider how poetry can reflect a community’s past, present, and future while encouraging civic engagement. Attendees will also explore new approaches to writing about their own communities and develop ideas for creating meaningful poetry rooted in place.
