About this event

Longhorn City Limits presented by Hollister returns on Saturday, October 31, with Uncle Kracker bringing his unmistakable feel-good sound to the LBJ Lawn before Texas Football takes on Mississippi State at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The multi-Platinum singer, songwriter and performer will headline a Halloween edition of LCL alongside special guest Julianna Rankin. As always, admission is FREE for all Longhorn City Limits concerts throughout the season. For more than two decades, Uncle Kracker has built a career around an infectious blend of pop, rock and country music and a catalog filled with songs made to sing along to. After first rising to prominence as a member and chief collaborator of Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band, the Michigan native launched a hugely successful solo career with his 2000 major-label debut, Double Wide. The album went double-Platinum and introduced audiences to his No. 1 breakthrough hit “Follow Me.” Uncle Kracker followed that success with the Gold-certified No Stranger to Shame, featuring “In A Little While” and his hit rendition of “Drift Away,” which spent a then-record 28 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. His crossover success continued alongside longtime friend Kenny Chesney with the chart-topping duet “When the Sun Goes Down,” before Uncle Kracker scored another double-Platinum hit with the Top 10 country favorite “Smile.” Today, he continues to tour across the country with a live show built around audience interaction, good times and making sure fans leave smiling. “Halloween night at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium is going to be something special,” said Chris Del Conte, Vice President and Lois and Richard Folger Athletics Director. “We’re looking forward to an incredible afternoon of live music pregame with Uncle Kracker performing on the Forty Acres for Longhorn City Limits, alongside all the pageantry and traditions of gameday fun before we head inside to cheer on the Horns!” Kicking off LCL on October 31 is Julianna Rankin. Texas singer-songwriter Julianna Rankin is an undeniable rising talent hailing from The Lone Star State. Raised on classic country and the blues with influences ranging from Keith Whitley, Bobbie Gentry, and Waylon Jennings to Bonnie Raitt, Carole King and James Taylor, Rankin’s debut “Bad Habits and Good Horses” was featured in the season finale of Landman. Her growing catalog includes clever “XYZ71s” and “Little Miss Behavin.” Rankin’s steel-soaked honky-tonk song “Dusty Boots” was named one of Holler’s new music discoveries. The Tito’s Tailgate and Bulleit Frontier Lounge will open at 2 p.m. on October 31, with Julianna Rankin taking the stage at 3 p.m. Uncle Kracker is scheduled to take the stage at approximately 4:30 p.m. Fans will once again enjoy signature experiences at Longhorn City Limits throughout the 2026 season. Located upon entry onto the LBJ Lawn, the Tito's Tailgate at Longhorn City Limits is free to the public for fans 21 and older. Enjoy refreshing Tito's cocktails on tap for purchase, shaded views of the stage performances, tailgating games and exclusive giveaways while supplies last. The Bulleit Frontier Lounge returns for another season, offering fans 21 and older a shaded gathering space featuring specialty cocktails and limited-edition swag. Fans can also enjoy award-winning barbecue from Pinkerton's BBQ, recognized by Texas Monthly as one of the state's premier barbecue destinations. Concertgoers can also enjoy pregame happy hour pricing featuring select $5 domestic and $6.50 premium beers at Longhorn City Limits.
