The Hope Spot

THE HOPE SPOT: HERE IT IS, FOLKS! The show that starts it ALL! An epic space opera that launches an even better sequel, a well received third installment, a banished 3 film prequel, subsequent movies that were clearly written in board rooms, and spin off films of which one is taken seriously! SLAM PORTAL EPISODE IV: THE HOPE SPOT! But this isn’t a children’s product that is debated over by Kevin Smith adjacent adults. NO SIR! This is serious. So serious we’re bringing TWO F****** RINGS to Hope Outdoor Gallery for a GALACTIC RUMBLE of which ONE winner will face the MEGA-WOLF-MODE Champion SPACE TIGER JR. (but also) JR. What could possibly go down besides multiple bodies flying from our wrasslin double-wide? We’ve got a BASTARD! We’ve got a REAL BOY! A man with a REMOTE CONTROL! We’ve got a newly sharpened MUSTACHE MAFIA with the harnessed power of a SLAMINATOR. Two tough but apparently frisky DADS! Not to mention the live music of @loskurados to follow!!!!!! DO NOT MISS THIS EXPLOSION OF ART. THE FATE OF THE UNIVERSE AND FUTURE FUNDED SHOWS MAY DEPEND ON IT! SLAM PORTAL: If you’re looking for a dose of "Keep Austin Weird" served with a side of high-flying elbow drops, Slam Portal Wrestling is the intergalactic ticket you’ve been searching for. Forget the polished, corporate arenas; this is a "galactic licensed" fever dream that exists somewhere between a Saturday morning cartoon, a DIY punk show, and zany comedy troupe. Imagine standing around with a cold craft pint in hand, while a crowd of snarky Austinites prepares to shower a villain in hundreds of plastic cups. The energy is electric, ironic, and intensely community-driven. It’s an outdoor spectacle where the stage lights compete with the Texas sunset and the "ring" is a holy ground for chaos and acts as a literal portal for the absurd. It’s a "space age" escape for people who yearn for multi-dimensional fellowship. It’s crude, it’s heartwarming, and it’s undeniably Austin. Whether you're a die-hard wrestling fan or just someone who wants to witness the best that performance art has to offer, SLAM PORTAL is for you.
