Waking Dream: Contemporary Art and Neuroaesthetics

Discover contemporary art in East Austin at Waking Dream, presented by Barrio Pop Studio in collaboration with Brain Arts Lab at Quimera Gallery during Austin Studio Tour, November 13–22, 2026. Curated by Carlos Moreno and Niru Kumar, the exhibition brings together ten local artists exploring home, memory, and the creative self. Moving between reality and fantasy, their works invite visitors to consider the memories and imagined worlds that shape our sense of belonging. Join us for the public opening on Friday, November 13, from 7–10 PM, or visit during gallery hours on November 14, 15, 21, and 22, from noon–5 PM. Community Day on Saturday, November 14, offers opportunities to connect through art and hands-on creative activities.
