Who's playing
The roster includes Dayne Reliford, Jon E. Deas, Nick J Aloisio, Lewis Charles Reid, Paulo Santos, Murali Coryell and Matthew Maldonado. The listing says one form or another of Da' Homies plays each week, so the lineup on stage can change from one Thursday to the next.
What to expect
A late set in a room that holds around 40 people. The Gallery is a speakeasy-style space above the Continental Club, where jazz, soul, R&B and singer-songwriter acts play close to the audience. It has a bar, and the room is plain and informal. The club likens it to a house concert in a living room.
Why go
A weekly residency lets the players settle in and try things, and the room is small enough that you can see every move. The Gallery has history too: it was once One World Guitars, and the Continental Club took it over and added a Hammond B-3 organ and a rotating art show. It is a good late-night stop on South Congress.
