Zilker Sessions V ft. The Droptines & Angel White

Angel White opens the night and The Droptines close it. The club describes both as some of its favorite artists. Each gets a full set of their own, not a short opener slot, so there is room to settle in with each act.

Two back-to-back sets in the club's main room, with a break between acts. Antone's downtown home is a former Cadillac dealership with subtle art deco touches, a high-end sound system and craft cocktails. Vintage posters on the walls trace the club's history. The club notes that capacity is limited.

Antone's opened in 1975 and has hosted Muddy Waters, B.B. King and a young Stevie Ray Vaughan. It also books R&B, hip-hop and indie rock now. A two-act bill here is a good way to see the room and hear two artists the club itself chose.
