Who's playing
Sriyam is an Austin singer-songwriter who makes diaristic indie pop, with confessional lyrics and bright, guitar-driven production. "Tattoo" is her newest single. She has plays of earlier songs like "HUMBLING!" and "silence" to her name. Stunt Driver and AB Brown open the night, chosen by Sriyam herself.
What to expect
A release show and a Halloween party in one night, with three acts and a dress code of costumes or glitter. Brushy Street Commons is a former film soundstage with 25-foot ceilings and a mezzanine. The room feels big but still close to the stage. The bar is on site.
Why go
This is a hometown release show, put together by the artist with bands she picked. The room has history too: Willie Nelson and Stevie Ray Vaughan filmed videos here, and the Texas Lottery drawings were broadcast from it. A themed night there suits a new single.
The listed time is when doors open.
