A Gloxk Horror Story @The Rolling Rooster
Thursday, October 29 at The Rolling Rooster, Austin
About this event
A Gloxk Horror Story is a Halloween-season hip hop party at The Rolling Rooster in North Austin. G.A Daniel and Chris Monroe host a night of trap and hip hop, with a costume contest that pays a cash prize. It is a dance night built around the holiday.
What to expect
The music is trap and hip hop, aimed at dancing rather than standing at the back. The night is built around a costume contest, and the winner takes home a cash prize. G.A Daniel and Chris Monroe host, so expect the contest and the music to be run by the people who put the night together.
Why go
The Rolling Rooster is better known for chicken and waffles than for late-night parties. It is a soul food spot in the Wells Branch area with a full bar and weekend DJ sets, so a Halloween dance night fits the room. This one is a good pick if you want a costume party with a hip hop focus away from downtown.
The listed time is when doors open.
