Who's playing
Distorted Sky is the party's resident crew, and the listing calls them ghouls for the night. They hold the decks for most of the evening. Leonie L7 comes in as the guest, billed as a séance. The night is built around house and techno from start to finish.
What to expect
The theme is heaven and hell. Melodic house, the heavenly side, plays upstairs, and techno, the devilish basslines, plays downstairs. Neon Grotto is a multi-level club on Colorado Street with an 80s vaporwave look, neon lighting and a rooftop. Guests are asked to dress in frightful attire and dance until the dead awaken.
Why go
It gives you two rooms and two sounds in one night, so you can move between softer melodic house and harder techno. The costume theme sets the mood without feeling forced. Neon Grotto suits a Halloween dance night well, with its neon-lit rooms in the Warehouse District.
