Austin Artist of the Month: Meet Megan Jaster

On November 1, painter Megan Jaster is in the gallery from 12 to 4PM to introduce her new body of work, talk about her process, and meet visitors in person. Jaster's immersive oil paintings move between the subconscious and the natural world. Her process starts with photography, live models, and research, then moves through digital collage studies that include AI-generated filters. The final painting is left open to intuition. Old Master technique meets a thoroughly contemporary process. Discover local Austin artists at Unchained.Art Contemporary Gallery. Austin Artist of the Month brings one Austin artist into the gallery each month for a dedicated wall exhibition and a hands-on first Sunday. On view until November 30. Free and open to all.
