Annabelle Chairlegs, the Austin psych and garage rock band led by Lindsey Mackin, play Radio/East on Montopolis Drive. The local bill is billed with Almost Heaven and Swedish Magazines. Radio/East is a coffee shop, bar and outdoor music venue in one, set on an acre of landscaped grounds.
Who's playing
Annabelle Chairlegs formed in Austin in 2014, after Lindsey Mackin moved from Santa Fe. Her growl and wail sit on top of gritty, surf-tinged guitars. They have played ACL Fest, SXSW and Levitation. Their third album, Waking Up, came out in January 2026 and was produced by Ty Segall. Almost Heaven and Swedish Magazines are also on the bill.
What to expect
Radio/East is mostly outdoors, with a big main stage, a covered pavilion and a front yard where food trucks stay open late. Misters and fans cool the warm months, and the pavilion can be heated in the cold ones. Cocktails, beer, espresso and non-alcoholic drinks are all on hand. The coffee shop side is open from early morning every day.
Why go
This is a hometown band with a long Austin track record, playing a fresh record on a bill with other local acts. Radio/East is an easygoing East Austin venue that won Best New Venue at the Austin Chronicle Music Awards in its first year. It suits a loud rock show with room to spread out.
