Who's playing
The Pflugerville Arts Council presents the show. Thirteen artists are named: Mimi Costantino, Shirley Rowland, Dan Raines, Michael Hillmer, John West, Kristalyn Barnes, Lucile Davis, Franklin Mendez, Tali Rachelle, Margit Steimle, Abbi Ablaze, Juan Bosquez and Christa Marie. Each is either a veteran or related to one.
What to expect
This is a gallery-style exhibit of painted work, with no program to follow. You browse at your own pace during regular library hours. An opening reception with the artists is part of the run. The library has a great hall, meeting rooms and a reading area, and the paintings share the building with everyday library traffic.
Why go
The show gives local veterans and their families a public place to show their work, and it is all by Central Texas artists. The Pflugerville Public Library calls itself the community living room, so the setting is relaxed and neighborly. It suits a short, free outing in Pflugerville that you can pair with a library stop.
