The University of North Dakota, in partnership with Ralph Engelstad Arena, H-E-B Center, and Visit Austin, announced that H-E-B Center at Cedar Park will play host to the 2026 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game on Saturday, October 31, 2026. This special event features the University of North Dakota and Michigan State at 7:07 pm (CST). This will be a casual meet-up for North Dakota fans in a friendly Kelly Green environment. Friday 10/30 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Golf Tournament at Avery Ranch: Hit the greens with UND fans at the US Hockey Hall of Fame Golf Tournament! Hosted at the Avery Ranch Golf Club on Friday, Oct. 30, this event is the perfect warm-up before the UND Hockey faces off against Michigan State in the US Hockey Hall of Fame Game. North Dakota has played in this game many times, mostly at its home rink, Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks. This time it travels to Texas, with the arena, Ralph Engelstad Arena and Visit Austin as partners.
What to expect
A college hockey game in a pro-sized arena, with a large traveling North Dakota crowd in green. The weekend around it is organized by UND. It includes a fan meet-up on Rainey Street, a golf tournament at Avery Ranch, and NoDak Palooza at ACL Live, which combines a concert and a pep rally. Before the game, a pregame party on the arena plaza has a mechanical bull, armadillo racing, a custom hat bar and a photo spot with a longhorn.

College hockey rarely comes to Central Texas, and this is a matchup between two programs with long histories. H-E-B Center is the home of the AHL's Texas Stars. It is built for hockey, with seating for several thousand and a close view of the ice. Cedar Park is about 30 minutes from downtown Austin, so the plaza party is a good way to start the evening.
