University of Texas Women's Basketball vs Baylor (Exhibition)

Texas is the home team, led by senior forward Madison Booker, a three-time first team All-American. Baylor is a familiar opponent, and the two programs have met regularly in recent seasons. The matchup came together late. Baylor stepped in after the originally scheduled opponent, Eastern New Mexico, was unable to play.

An exhibition doesn't count in the standings, so coaches often use it to try out rotations and lineups. The game is still played at full speed in front of a home crowd. Moody Center opened in 2022 and seats about 15,000. Women's games draw big, loud crowds, with a student section, pregame introductions and a video-board show. Radio coverage comes from Craig Way and Kathy Harston on the Longhorn Radio Network.

This is an early look at one of the country's top women's programs before the real schedule starts. Moody Center has been a tough place for visitors, with Texas on a long home winning streak. The arena sits at the edge of campus, close to downtown Austin, and the crowds there are knowledgeable and loud.
