The Texas Longhorns are the home team, coached by Mike White. UTSA comes up the road from San Antonio. The two programs have met since 2005, and Texas holds a commanding lead in the series at 26 wins to 1 loss. The most recent meeting was a 10-0 Texas win in San Antonio in February 2026.

A regular college softball game on a regulation-size field with a grass outfield and a clay infield. The ballpark opened in 1998 and holds about 1,250 in its grandstands. It is small enough that you hear the dugout chatter and the crack of the bat from almost anywhere. It sits on the east side of campus, on Comal Street.

Longhorn softball is one of the more affordable ways to see a nationally ranked UT team in person. McCombs Field gives you a close view of the game without the crowds of a football Saturday. An in-state opponent like UTSA adds a bit of regional rivalry to an easygoing evening.
