Who's playing

Ravi Kaiut holds a master's degree in neuroscience and has practiced Kaiut Yoga for years. He was diagnosed with a hip condition at age four and avoided surgery through early Kaiut Yoga. He later placed third in the world in bodybuilding. That story is the thread through his teaching on movement, pain and resilience.

What to expect

The week has several ways in. There are intro classes, a series of 90-minute masterclasses on topics such as stress and pain management, and five-day and two-day practice intensives. A free community reception adds light refreshments and a chance to ask Ravi about the nervous system, pain, sleep and movement. Kaiut Yoga is a therapeutic, joint-focused practice, and no experience is needed for the intro classes.

Why go

Ravi teaches in Austin only occasionally, and the format lets you choose your depth, from one intro class to the full intensive. The method is built for any age, fitness level or physical limitation. Lizard Yoga is a South Austin studio on Menchaca Road with a spa side, including sauna, cold plunge and massage.
